Dear Parents,

On behalf of the children, staff and governors welcome! We hope you find this website informative and it gives you an insight into our happy and busy school and the many opportunities our children enjoy here.

Here at Mount Street Infants we provide a caring, happy and stimulating environment, where all our children feel safe and secure. We pride ourselves on the nurturing approach and the family feel as you walk around our school. Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff provide an exciting, creative and challenging curriculum and are committed to achieving the highest standards in teaching and learning for all children. A high priority is given to pupils’ personal, social and emotional development and we promote high standards of behaviour where children learn and play together. Children are at the heart of everything we do and we strongly believe that it is our role to ensure that all children reach their full potential whilst they are a member of our school family.

We are very fortunate to have wonderful school grounds and our own woods and the school is part of the Forest school initiative. This allows our children unique opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self-esteem, through hands on learning experiences in our outdoor environment.

The excellent quality of the school’s care, support and guidance for pupils results in outstanding levels of wellbeing. The school has an exceptionally happy family atmosphere where nearly all pupils thrive. It provides an extensive range of imaginative learning experiences, both in class and in the stimulating outdoor environment, which results in nearly all pupils having very positive attitudes to learning and achieving well.
